Meadowside offers an unusually high staff to resident ratio to ensure individuals’ needs are met as part of our person-centred care ethos. This includes: regular bathing in our Parker Bath, assisted personal hygiene, incontinence care, visiting GP and district nurse support as required, dental visits, assistance with mobility, sensory needs (including hearing and visual), nutritional support and assisted feeding, falls management, pressure area care, individual dignity, and personal and spiritual well-being.
As a small, family-run care home Meadowside is proud to be able to offer residents a comfortable home from home experience. Meadowside allows its residents freedom; they are able to make their rooms as personal as they like, bringing in their own possessions to the home.
At Meadowside each resident is allocated a ‘key worker’ who is responsible for planning and updating all aspects of the person-centred care plans. The key worker is supported by all the other carers as well as the Management Team through regular reviews and feedback.
The care plans are based on the personal choices as expressed by each resident, and include details about their personal profile, from nighttime to daytime care plans, personal hygiene, eating and drinking, mobility, environment etc. This focus on the specific needs of each resident ensures the highest possible standards of personal care while also being flexible to changing needs.
Our pricing is based on a combination of the type of room required and the care needed for each individual resident. All prospective residents are individually assessed. Normally, charges tend to range from £650.00 to £85.00 per week. Following satisfactory assessment, residents are invited to complete a trial period of 4 weeks, at which time we hope they will be fully at home and will wish to continue their stay at Meadowside.
